Getting a proper amount of sleep at night is essential to the health. Getting deprived of it, on the other hand, leaves you with many health problems and fatigue. Many people today experience lack of sleep and you could be one of them, too. But do you know why? Here are top 10 reasons you can’t get any decent sleep!

It could be possible that you are getting used to your messy room but your body isn’t. Your brain knows all the mess that is around and it is simply difficult to sleep knowing that. Exert some effort in making sure your room is neat and tidy. Change the sheets regularly and keep everything organized.

Dust mites and bed bugs can be really irritating. Moreover, it is very unsanitary. There are many ways to get rid of them. Keep your room clean after pest control. If the problem comes back, it’s probably time to purchase a new mattress.

If you are a woman, then this could be a big cause of your sleepless nights. One perfect example is your PMS during your time of the month or the hormonal changes when you are pregnant.

Smoking is a bad habit and everyone knows that. One of those bad effects is depriving you of sleep. If you are a smoker, you might want to consider cutting down or better yet, just quit.

Take your night rest seriously. Sleep at night and avoid taking naps in the day. Keep yourself busy in the morning and in the afternoon so that by bed time, you are ready to go to bed.
