We all pray for a day where we can just relax and think of nothing – no work or family commitments, just pure alone time. However, when we finally get it, our bodies and minds are not used to the routine that we end up looking for something to do. Here are 10 things to do when you’re bored!

Catch up with a close family or friend that you have not seen for a long time. For example, a friend from college or your grandmother!

You are probably always confined in the 4 walls of your office. The best thing to do right now is to go out and smell the flowers, literally.

It’s time to go to the hospital to get a general check-up. Get the whole package – urinalysis, blood works, xrays and the like. You can get this for free if you have health insurance. This way, you can check if there is something wrong with your health. Some symptoms may not show until you are older but may be detected as early as now if you get a check-up.

When was the last time you were in the kitchen literally cooking something up? A good way to do this is to invite people over to check your skills in cooking as well! Cook for the whole family, they would truly appreciate it.
(5) Take an assessment
See how sharp your mind is! It may have deteriorated because you have not changed your daily routine for a long time. There are many tests you can take online. You can even take personality tests if you want!
(4) Learn a magic trick
This would be really fun and you would be able to use this in the future to entertain random kids at a party. It does not need to be a big magic act like making a big elephant appear, you can just learn simple card tricks and that would be alright.
(3) Give away stuff or have a garage sale
It’s time to give away stuff you are not using anymore. Since you’re bored, you will have the time to clear out your closet and basement of stuff you don’t need anymore. You can either sell them in a garage sale or give them away to charity.
(2) Look at old pictures
Be a little melancholic and nostalgic for an hour or two. It is sometimes nice to look at old pictures, yearbooks, videos and the like. Remembering your life before will make you appreciate the life you have now.

Many bored people find this very useful because they next time they are bored, they just continue watching the TV series they have chosen. This is like the ultimate solution for boredom right there.
