7. Whole Milk
Parents may think that milk is a healthy part of a diet. Since milk is available in different varieties, the best choice should be made to choose the right variety. Whole milk is recommended for children 2 years and under. After age 2, skim milk or 1 percent milk suffice the requirement. This is because whole milk has a lot of fat content which is not really required by children after they turn 2.

Fast food may seem to be a highly convenient fallback plan especially when you don’t have enough time to cook. However, this should only be considered as an occasional treat may be once in a week. Else, it can lead to development of unhealthy habits and unexpected weight gain.
3. Sports and Vitamin Drinks
If your child is not a true athlete, he doesn’t really require any kind of sports or vitamin drinks. Water can very well suffice the need.
Caffeine use has been associated with sleep issues. But these days, there has been a significant increase in coffee consumption in younger children. Efforts should be made to discourage them to use caffeinated beverages.
